Loof Co Washing Up Scraper
LoofCo washing up scrapers are hand-made from coconut husk. They are a plastic free alternative to washing up scourers and are ideal for removing baked-on food from pans and baking trays without scratching.
These last for ages and when they are done are fully biodegradable.
How to use: Soak baked-on food in warm water and washing-up liquid. Use the Scraper to lift off food residue. The blade-like edge at the front and the fibrous coir fibres underneath acts like a scrubbing brush. After use rinse and hang up to dry from string loop. When the bristle-like edge of the Washing-Up Scraper starts to fray, trim with scissors back to a solid edge for months more use.
Size: approximately 11x7.5cm with a convenient string hanging loop.
About Loof Co
Loof Co produce 100% plastic free coconut and loofah products for everyday life. Their brushes and scourers are made from durable coir fibre.
Coconut fibre, or coir as it is more commonly known, is a natural fibre extracted from between the hard internal shell of the coconut and the outer coat of the coconut. It is a byproduct of the coconut harvesting process, and is considered a renewable and sustainable product since new crops of coconuts can be regrown repeatedly on the same trees.
Coir's water resistant qualities makes it an ideal cleaning material that can be paired with any detergent or cleaning agent on any given surface or location. It cuts through tough grease, is naturally antibacterial and is safe on non stick surfaces. It is effective in cleaning hard surfaces like hobs and ovens, and will remove leftover residues and mould. Free from toxic chemicals and biodegradable.
On first few uses you may notice some loose fibres or ‘dust’ but these will reduce over time. Made in Sri Lanka.
